Weel 33!

Happy Monday!

On Friday, we had the privilege of having Mrs. Shunk, our school’s counselor, teach us a mini-lesson on how to solve small problems. Small problems are when we feel annoyed or bothered and we can make a choice to solve the problem on our own.  She taught the students to take a moment to breath and calm down and then equipped them with several strategies such as ask the student politely to stop, count to ten, let it go or move. If a student has tried 2-3 strategies to solve their small problem and it continues, then it is time to have an adult help. Please review these helpful tactics with your child to help promote problem solving and peace in and outside the classroom. Thank you! Have a wonderful week!
